ABOUT US
Vandervoort’s was founded by Henry Carl and Velma Vandervoort in 1933 as a local milk, ice cream, and butter distributor that served the Fort Worth area. Through the years, the Company grew and became the leading and most respected dairy company in the North Texas area.
Vandervoort’s collected raw milk from independent dairies from the counties surrounding Fort Worth and sold the products as far away as Abilene, Amarillo, Waco and Tyler. The school children drank milk from the cartons that read “It’s Sure Good” and brought up their own children on Vandervoort’s products.
Our father and grandfather, Calvin Hazlewood, brother of Velma Vandervoort, operated Hazlewood Dairy Products Company in Dublin, Texas “The Heart of Erath County Texas” and bottled milk, made soft serve ice cream, produced cheese and butter, as well as served as the collection point for fresh milk from the local dairies for truck delivery to the main plant in Fort Worth.
The Founder, Henry Carl Vandervoort, Sr. died suddenly in 1960, and the Company was sold to a group of dairy farmers in 1962. The trade name “Vandervoorts” was discontinued soon after, and was lost to time.
Our Company started with bottled water and has expanded to bottled milk in the tradition of Vandervoort’s. We specialize in local milk and bring it to you.

Bottled Milk
We are privileged to live and have our Company in the Heart of North Texas because we have the greatest concentration of traditional dairies close by – We’re Surrounded!
That means that the distance from farm to plant is close to us, and we are close to you.
Bottled Spring Water
We have drilled and maintained many of the source wells in the Dallas-Fort Worth area that produce Spring Water for local bottlers.
As such, we have tasted the waters straight from the wells and filled our water jugs with our favorites. We choose our Spring Water suppliers from our favorite sources. Just like our bottled milk, it's sure good.

We tested variations on buttered pecan, apricot, peach, raspberry, chocolate chip, and pineapple with marshmallows – yuck. We were the original ice cream guinea pigs. Now we serve and enjoy ice cream with friends and family.

When given the choice, many people prefer non-homogenized milk over its mainstream counterpart.
On the surface, the reasons are simple: non-homogenized milk tastes better, and milk from grass-fed cows is a quality product that deserves to be processed as little as possible. However, on a microscopic level, a fascinating world is playing out in a simple glass of milk. By leaving our food in as whole a state as possible, we leave nature the space to do what it intended!
